![]() ![]() ![]() Earlier this season, there was quite a buzz surrounding Pat Foster's stunning re-creation of the infamous Beebe & Mulligan AA/FD [see DRUSA July '01, pg. 12], Drag racing purists were just plain tickled to see it. Well, we thought we'd tickle you once again-this time, with the real deal. Yep, that's John "The Zookeeper" Mulligan leaving the starting line at Orange County International Raceway in the late '60s. However, if you look closely, you'll find a suspicious blend of "goo" exiting the bottom of the engine. Looks like the Zookeeper had to take this elephant in for some surgery. DRAG RACING USA September, 2001 *There is only one thing wrong with this nice tribute by Randy Fish -- in this shot the car still had a 392 "whale motor".
