test ... a push start and burnout at the local airport.

With the help of Darrell Tedford
and Rick McGee (Nostalgia Top Fuel racers), West dons his new
firesuit and gets strapped in.
It's kinda tight in here!
Once testing was done and Dave was comfortable
in the car they went for the real deal.
We're short on photos of this notebook
event but here's a couple of good shots of action and result
of Dave's first burnout.

Rick McGee and Dave push the car
back to the trailer - the day a success. The car was disassembled
for painting, upholstery and plating so it could be debuted (finished)
during the 2001 NHRA Winternationals at the Wally Parks NHRA
Motorsports Museum.
